High FPS ATI Card and In Game Settings
« on: March 17, 2011, 11:20:40 PM »
Hey... Thanks to everyone for their input which led me to try new settings which I had some of but worked away from (they were never quite right).

Great Results! I am now getting High 40s-50s with full cockpit in screen with gauge lights on. Outside view against clouds/some blue sky, low thick ground cover in the 80s to 90s bouncing as high as 110 to 120. Outside view of Plane against 50/50 ground and Sky 70s and 80s. This was the Sochi/Adler mission with weather/ground fog

Also noticed the Screens load faster on start up and Sim loads really quick. Haven't seen a stutter or glitch.

Here are my settings for my card and in game.

ATI HD 5970
AA -Use application settings
AI - Use application settings
Tessellation - Off with both boxes unchecked
Catalyst AI - Performance, Enable Surface Format Optimization box checked
Mipmap Detail Level  - Quality
Vertical Refresh - Off unless app calls for it
AA Mode - Multi Sample AA
OpenGL - Triple Buffering box checked

In Game Settings:

All Set to HIGH, water Very hi
Civ Off and Heat Blur Off
Visib Range Very High (Mod)
MSAA - 16X
Pit - 512
Resolution 1980 x 1020
HDR - Warm
Clutter/Bushes - 3000 = 300 (mod)
Trees - 9000
Mirrors on
